In Jaipur and in Rajasthan, in olden days Kings and their staff have built their palaces inside the water. I really do not know the process by which they have built these palaces. for me this quiet a architectural wonders as they are still surviving despite the water around. They are called JALMAHAL, Jal means water and Mahal means palace. It means palace inside water. For me it is a wonder that a pace can survive for so many years inside the water. For me this is architectural wonder.
It must be like building a bridge or a tunnel..magnificent- thanks for the lesson re: JALMAHAL!
Yes but we must admit that techniques used at those times must be so effective and modern that they are still holding after hundreds of years. There is some palace in Jodhpur which have been turned into Hotel by the Royals. I guess that must be great place to stay and visit. But thanks for liking this post.
It is humbling… Thank you
Sure it is ..
Can anyone go inside it?
I really did not see any ferry or boat around. But there is one hotel in Jodhpur where this kind of palace is converted into hotel by Taj Group.
Wow! I’ve never seen anything like it except in a disaster! That is amazing!
